Opinion: Hillary Clinton says talking about WAP is Gutsy. I wonder if Bill Clinton likes WAP too?
Wait, what? Hillary Clinton says she admires WAP in episode #2 of Gutsy.
WAP is Gutsy says Hillary Clinton
Former First Lady, and Secretary of state, Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea have a new Apple TV+ series called Gutsy. The show description states the pair will embark on a thought-provoking journey to speak with pioneering women artists, activists, community leaders, and everyday heroes.
In episode #2 they feature a conversation with Rapper, Megan Thee Stallion and talk about the explicit rap song Megan released in 2020 with fellow Rapper Cardi B called WAP.
Now if you don’t know what WAP stands for, I’m going to have to ask you to google it. I will share just a bit of the song lyrics to give you an idea of the overall theme of the song-The explicative laden song starts with:
Wh*res in this house. There’s some wh*res in this house. There’s some wh*res in this house. There’s some wh*res in this house (hol’ up). I said certified freak, seven days a week. WAP, make that pullout game weak, woo! (Ah)- WAP by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion
Hillary Clinton admires WAP
Hillary says her daughter Chelsea has been into Rap music since she was a child, and that Hillary came to know about Megan from the WAP song. Chelsea calls Megan “fierce” and Hilary told People Magazine that her initial reaction to the song was admiration: “I didn’t know what to think, because I’m of a much different generation, but I admired the audacity and the kind of agency that both of those young women were exhibiting”.
JADED: Wow! Many people know I was on radio (and television) interviewing music artists for a decade. That WAP song and video were pure trash in my opinion. The song is degrading to women and filled with sexually explicit lyrics that grossly refer to women’s body parts. I think Black women can do better entertaining with their talent and not stooping to talking about their WAP!
And why is Hillary Clinton still pandering to the Black community? Is she running for office or is this on (GP) general principles for her party. First it was Hillary Clinton on The Breakfast Club, telling Charlamagne Tha God she always carries hot sauce in her purse (after Beyoncé’s I got hot sauce in my bag swag) -a clear attempt at pandering for the black vote. And when called out for the appearance of pandering, she asked “is it working”?
Now she about the WAP? Okay Ms. Hillary. I can’t help but to wonder how Bill Clinton feel about some WAP? Lets hear it!
