Health Alert: Mask Mandate Continues in California Despite CDC Guidelines 5/17/21

California released a statement Monday clarifying confusion among residents and said the state will not yet follow CDC guidelines. This means, Californians still have to wear a mask until June 15 when the state is slated to open fully.

“This four-week week period will give Californians time to prepare for this change while we continue the relentless focus on delivering vaccines,” Health and Human Service Secretary Mark Ghaly said.
