Hate Crimes Against Black People on the Rise in California 7/8/21

According to the California Department of Justice, these incidents have increased by 25% in the last decade, with a 31% increase from 2019 to 2020.

Incidents targeting communities of color have increased overall, but African Americans have fared worse, seeing an 88% increase from 2019 to 2020, compared to 43% against Asians and 38% against Latinos.
