Discover Black in LA: CEA-LO L.A, with Chef Christopher Montgomery Grand Opening 4/5/21

CEA-LO L.A is set for its Grand Opening April 5th, 2021, located at 5150 Sepulveda Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.
Christopher Montgomery (Chef Chris) grew up in the Bronx, New York, where his passion for cooking was first ignited, in the kitchen, side by side with his adoptive father. After some turbulent years in the street life and the death of his adoptive father when he was just 14, Christopher embarked on a journey that would turn his life around forever.

He enrolled into the Culinary Arts and Food Management program at the Art Institute of New York. After graduating, he further advanced his training as a Sous Chef under the renowned (Iron Chef America) Chef David Burke.

Having worked in different venues on the East Coast, including his family’s sister CEA-LO Café in New York, people started to take notice of his cuisine and he received an offer to come to Los Angeles to help launch an establishment.

After successfully fulfilling that contract, he decided it was time to launch his own.

Chef Chris describes CEA-LO LA as a “quick service, scratch kitchen restaurant, established to provide healthy, quality foods and beverages to all its patrons”.

He goes on to say “we are determined to become the driving force and a necessity to those looking for a more cleaner healthier version yet affordable, elevated food for the soul aka Soul Food”.
