California State Senator Wants To Allow Speeding Cameras In School Zones 3/20/21
--
California Sen. Susan Rubio, D-Baldwin Park, has introduced a bill that would authorize local governments to install Speeding Cameras In School Zones.
Unless otherwise posted, California law provides for a speed limit of 15–25 mph when driving within 500 to 1,000 feet of a school while children are outside or crossing the street.
Usually “school zones” apply only during the hours when children present, before during and after school, also recess periods when children may be playing outside.
