Rapper Kodak Black is among the 100 + pardons by out going President Trump
Kodak Black, who was is in federal prison for making a false statement in order to buy a firearm. His career has been marked by periods of mainstream success, as well as public controversies and legal issues. His legal troubles began in middle school and spiked significantly throughout the late 2010s. In 2019, Black was arrested for weapons possession and was sentenced to almost four years in prison before being granted clemency.

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty last month to possessing a loaded, gold-plated handgun when his chartered jet landed in Miami in December 2019. He was facing a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. He is regarded as one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation.
