16,133 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Riverside County, and 440 deaths-5 ICU beds left

265 cases are among people ages 0 to 4
1,022 cases are among people ages 5 to 17
6,408 cases are among people ages 18 to 39
6,137 cases are among people ages 40 to 64
1,490 cases are among people ages 65 to 79
661 cases are among people 80 years or older

The county reported that the number of hospitalized patients increased over the weekend by 47, bringing the total to 365–106 of those individuals are in the intensive care unit.

As part of hospitals‘ surge plans, hospitals will convert some of their regular beds into ICU beds. During emergency circumstances like these hospitals are can convert regular beds to ICU beds or add beds to handle a surge. The Press Enterprise reports there being only 5 ICU beds available in the County.

Health officials announced bars must close starting Tuesday, June 30, as part of an effort to counter a surge in corona virus cases and hospitalizations
The order comes one day after Gov. Gavin Newsom recommended the county, along with seven others, shut down its bars.
